My name is Joao and I am a 28-year-old Portuguese living in Amsterdam since 2019. I start my professional career as a waiter at 16 years old. In 10 years, I develop a particular taste for customer service, and subsequently, I acquired management and sales skills since I have been Floor Manager(18 years old), Team Leader (21 years old), and Supervisor (25 years old) in different locations since the start of my career. It gave me the expertise to be able to adapt to any customer, environment, and workflow. I had the opportunity to create my own cocktail menus, organize events, build relations with suppliers, and manage the team's needs and formation.
Since 2016 I had the chance to be an assistant producer in a media company developing video content for Music Festivals and THU TV, a web tv series from THU. We created after movies, recaps, daily videos for social media, and web series episodes. From studio work to on-field work, I develop a better skill set in time management, creative thinking, and problem-solving. At the end of 2018, I was the Main Producer of a music video clip for a Top Portuguese artist. It was one of my best achievements as a video producer so far.
At the beginning of 2019, I moved to Amsterdam searching for new adventures and challenges. I studied the Event Producer & Organization Course where I learn more about event production and how to organize projects. I finish my course with a project that after a couple of months gain life: Pineapple Project, a creative and conceptual collective focus on art & music. On this collective, I develop cultural and artistic events, live stream performances, and video content so far. I was the art director and also co-producer of these events.
I believe these 3 careers gave me the skill & mindset to be a good professional with creative thinking and a go get it posture.
